Improvements Metrosoft QUARTIS R6

Metrosoft QUARTIS R6 understands DMIS – the standardized and manufacturer neutral format for inspection programs. DMIS programs are loaded, edited and executed in the same environment as QUARTIS programs. This uniform approach makes it easier for users to switch between different types of programs or even to combine the strengths of both. For example, create parameterized DMIS programs with specific evaluations. Subsequently use a QUARTIS program to present the results in an attractive graphical report.

Metrosoft QUARTIS R6 consistently continues the successful introduction of free-form measurement from earlier releases. Curves can now be measured even if no CAD model is available. Measure an unknown profile with a scanning or triggered probe system and use it later as reference curve for comparison measurements. Thanks to a seamless integration into the existing curve measurement, existing QUARTIS users will handle the new functionality fast.

Metrosoft QUARTIS R6 presents the measurement results in greater detail. It is now possible, for example, to add comments to tables within in the report. Probe points of an element may be reported in customizable labels. For data export, special layouts for tables and element labels are available. This allows to automatically output measurement results in an Excel file.

Metrosoft QUARTIS R6 supports manual coordinate measuring machines and manual articulating probing systems. Thus our modern measurement software opens up to another user group. The user interface presents itself clean and displays the available functions for manual measurements to the user.

Metrosoft QUARTIS R6 also offers interesting improvements and enhancements for many other applications. More about this in the following notes.

Unlimited programming with DMIS

Unlimited programming with DMISThe universal programming language DMIS is now available for you.

Blast the limits of simple measurement programming with variables, loops, conditional statements, jumps and other high-level language constructs.

Edit DMIS programs with the same intuitive Microsoft ® Office Fluent ™ user interface, as you are used from the QUARTIS.

Highlights

  • Create, edit and execute DMIS programs
  • Seamless integration into the QUARTIS programming environment
  • High-level language constructs: Variables, formulas, conditional statements, branches, jumps and loops
  • DMIS Interpreter with syntax highlighting
  • In and output via terminal
  • Combination of DMIS and QUARTIS programs via subprogram call
  • Supports DMIS 5.2 standard

Quickly measure multiple circles without loop

You want to measure multiple circles without having to program tediously a loop program. What previously was only possible for points and edge points, is now also available for circles. The element repetition allows you to define the measurement of multiple circles in a single step. To do so, you just click the circles to be measured on the CAD model. For perforated plates and flanges you can use the comfortable grid or circle distribution..

Quickly measure multiple circles without loop

 Highlights

  • Multiple selection with mouse clicks on the CAD model
  • Live preview of probe points and scan paths
  • Grid distribution (perforated plate)
  • Circle distribution (flange)
  • Distribute circles along a cylinder axis

Measure and compare curves without CAD model

Measure and compare curves without CAD modelYou want to measure an unknown profile and subsequently execute comparison measurements. During digitizing, the sensor automatically searches the path along the contour of the work piece – from start to end point. Unknown profiles can both be measured with triggered as well as with scanning probe systems.

Due to the use of optimized algorithms in the WENZEL WPC 2040 controller, multiple probe points per second can be measured even in triggered probe mode. A master curve can be easily exported into a CAD file and subsequently be used as a CAD reference curve for comparison measurements.

Highlights

  • Digitize unknown curves with scanning probe systems
  • Digitize unknown curves with trigged probe system (pecking)
(WPC 2040 controller with corresponding firmware required)
  • Create CAD reference curves from measured curves

More evaluation possibilities for curves and surface

You analyze a sheet metal part by measuring and evaluating points with CAD projection but also want to make a statement regarding the surface form. To do so you connect the individual points to a surface and evaluate the surface.

More evaluation possibilities for curves and surface

More evaluation possibilities for curves and surfaceYou measure profiles and look for the turning points in a defined direction.

To do so you can use the construction function Min/Max element which calculates the desired points or planes.

These elements can then be used for the subsequent evaluation. This way one can, for example, calculate and output the width of a turbine blade.

Highlights

  • Connect points with CAD projection to a surface
  • Connect partial surfaces to one surface
  • Construct min/max elements on curves and surfaces

Create even more detailed reports

Create even more detailed reportsYou want to structure the tabular output of your measuring results with comments and images.

To do so you can now also insert lines containing text fields within a table. Text can be formatted as desired.

Images and fields containing database and system information can be output as well.

If features are filtered out from the report, the corresponding text field is also removed.

For data export, special layouts for tables and element labels are available. This allows to automatically output measurement results in an Excel file.

You scan curves and want to output the deviation of each fiftieth probe point for example. This can be done by using point labels.

You define the points that are assigned to a label with freely definable layout.

Highlights

Point labels in a report

  • Structure tabular output of measurement results with text
  • Output comments and additional information within tables
  • Text within table is filtered with the corresponding feature
  • Output probe point deviation in point labels
  • New layouts for table and element labels for Excel export

Use manual measuring machines and probe heads

Use manual measuring machines and probe headsYou would like to use Metrosoft QUARTIS on your manual measuring machine.

The WENZEL WPZ 50 and WPZ 100 counter units are now supported. As usual, the needed settings are clearly listed in the configuration and can be changed in one place. The user interface presents itself clean and displays the available functions for manual measurements to the user. The advantages of the intuitive Microsoft® Office Fluent™ user interface are also apparent on manual coordinate measuring machines.

The matching probe heads for the manual coordinate measuring machine are also available and are displayed in the graphics.

Use manual measuring machines and probe heads

  • Use manual coordinate measuring machine with WPZ 50 or WPZ 100 counter unit
  • Use manual probe heads MH8, MIH and MH20i
  • Clean user interface with manual measuring machine functions
  • Measuring programs also executable on CNC coordinate measuring machines
